Interim
Somali president Abdiqasim Salad Hasan finished consultations
with the clan-based parliamentary groups in Djibouti on Wednesday
and has requested that all groups adhere to a Saturday deadline
for recommendations and advice for prime minister candidates.
Sources
in Djibouti told IRIN that the president was not expected
to announce his choice of prime minister until next week,
after extensive consultations.
The president
and parliament remain in Djibouti - where the peace process
has been hosted since May - until a government has been formed
and announced.
Sources
in Djibouti told IRIN that it was unlikely that the president
would be travelling again in the next month.
