Thousands
of refugees in Zambia face starvation because of a sharp decline
of food supplies, Lutheran World Federation (LWF) said here
Thursday.
"The present
supply of food for all refugee settlements in Zambia is down
to nil and the situation looks grim with the WFP unable to
secure more food supplies to the refugees in Zambia," said
LWF Director Hans Jensen- Fangel.
Over
200,000 refugees in Zambia are mainly from Angola, the Democratic
Republic of the Congo, Burundi, Somalia and Rwanda.
